A Frill alternative for a roadmap with dates on it
Frill collects ideas and votes and shows a public roadmap beside them. Roadmark is only the roadmap — a dated timeline that follows your tracker and keeps the plans you changed. Both are flat-priced, so this is about the job, not the bill.
What Frill is, in its own words
What their public pages say, each linked to the page it came from.
- Frill’s home page is headed “The all-in-one customer feedback tool for product teams”. Source on frill.co
- “Frill pricing is plan-based, not seat-based. Every paid plan includes unlimited team members.” Billed monthly, Startup is $25 with 50 active ideas and Business $49 with unlimited ideas; there are Growth and Enterprise tiers above them. Source on frill.co/pricing
- The paid plans carry a 14-day free trial, “No credit card required.” Source on frill.co/pricing
- Its roadmap page is headed “The public roadmap your customers actually check.” Source on frill.co/roadmap
- On the pricing table the roadmap is on every tier, and ETA and Timeline View are marked “Coming Soon”. Source on frill.co/pricing
- Jira and Linear are among the integrations their help centre lists, with the note “Most integrations require a paid Frill plan”. Source on frill.co/help/overview-of-frill-integrations-txegp
- “White labeling requires the White Label add-on ($100/month) or a Growth or Enterprise plan.” Source on frill.co/help/white-labeling-your-frill-workspace-rb0cq
Two flat prices with different limits
Neither counts the people who read. Their entry plan caps active ideas; our Pro caps the members who can edit a board, and Team does not.
| What is being compared | Frill | Roadmark |
|---|---|---|
| How it is charged | Flat per plan, unlimited team members | Flat per workspace |
| Entry paid plan | $25 / month (Startup) — 50 active ideas | $15 / month (Pro) — 4 members, owner included |
| Next plan up | $49 / month (Business) — unlimited ideas | $49 / month (Team) — unlimited members |
| Dates on the roadmap | ETA and Timeline View marked “Coming Soon” | Every milestone sits on a dated timeline |
| Removing the vendor badge | Growth plan, or a $100 / month add-on | Included from Pro |
Prices exclude VAT and sales tax. Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, adds it at checkout where your country requires it. Their figures are the monthly-billing prices on the plan cards on their pricing page on frill.co/pricing, read on 5 October 2026. Prices move — check both before you decide.
What Roadmark is for
A timeline you commit to, and two things that follow from it.
A plan with dates, not columns of ideas
Every milestone sits on a timeline with a target date, a status and a confidence level. Visitors can react with “I’m waiting for this” and ask to hear when it ships, but the plan is yours — nobody adds to it from outside.
Changes are kept, with the reason
You fork the plan instead of editing over it, and every fork needs a written reason. The old timeline stays visible, and the public Decision Feed explains each move to whoever you share it with.
It follows the tracker, Free included
Import from Linear, Jira, GitHub and the rest and keep the board in sync, so the published link reflects what shipped. That works on the Free plan too.
When they are the better choice
Where we would not switch, and would rather say so here than after you have moved a roadmap across.
- You want customers to submit ideas and vote. That is Frill’s core job, and Roadmark deliberately has no voting board — we do not build that surface.
- You want unlimited editors on the entry plan. Their paid plans include unlimited team members; our Pro has a member cap, and only Team lifts it.
- You want surveys and product announcements alongside the roadmap. Roadmark is the roadmap only.
Moving from Frill
What the move actually involves, step by step.
Keep collecting ideas where you do
Roadmark replaces the published roadmap, not the ideas board. Requests can stay where your customers already leave them.
Connect the tracker the work lives in
Import from 10 issue trackers and planning tools — Linear, Jira and GitHub among them — and keep the board in sync: it pulls the latest once a day on its own. The import only reads; nothing in your tracker changes.
Or bring a spreadsheet
Anything you can save as a CSV file can become a board: upload it, choose which columns hold the title, date, status and description, and check the preview before you import. Rows without a date come across undated rather than being dropped.
Send the read-only link
Turn on the public link in Share. Anyone with it can read the roadmap and its Decision Feed without an account, and none of them takes a seat. It can be embedded on your own site too.
Frill and Roadmark, answered
- Can I import my Frill roadmap?
- There is no Frill importer in Roadmark, but a CSV file works: map the title, date, status and description columns and check the preview. Importing from your tracker is usually the better route, since that board then stays in sync.
- Does Roadmark have voting?
- Not a voting board. Visitors to a public roadmap can react to a milestone you planned with “I’m waiting for this” and leave an email to hear when it ships, if you switch that on. Posting ideas is not part of it.
- Is Roadmark free?
- Yes. The Free plan keeps 1 roadmap, imports from any supported tool and shares public read-only links with as many people as you like. A new account also gets 7 days of Pro, no card asked; when that ends you stay on Free with everything kept.
See one before you decide
Our own roadmap is public, pivots and all — the abandoned branches are still on it, which is the whole point. Read it first; the sign-up can wait.
