A Featurebase alternative when the roadmap is the part you use
Featurebase bundles a helpdesk, feedback boards, a changelog and roadmaps, priced per seat. Roadmark is only the roadmap — flat-priced, synced from your tracker, with the history of every change kept. Here is how the two compare, and when the bundle is the better buy.
What Featurebase is, in its own words
What their public pages say, each linked to the page it came from.
- Featurebase’s home page calls it a “Modern customer support & feedback platform”: “Support your customers with AI, collect feedback, and announce product updates — all with one tool”. Source on www.featurebase.app
- It is priced per seat — “teammates who need full access to core features”. Billed yearly: Growth $29, Professional $59 and Enterprise $99 per seat, per month, plus a Free plan with one seat. Source on www.featurebase.app/pricing
- “You can always have free unlimited end-users” — the people who read, post and vote are not billed on any plan. Source on www.featurebase.app/pricing
- Roadmaps are on every plan, counted by tier: one on Free, five on Growth, ten on Professional, unlimited on Enterprise. The Linear, Jira and GitHub integrations are listed from Growth up. Source on www.featurebase.app/pricing
- Removing the Featurebase branding is listed as a $69-a-month add-on on Professional and Enterprise. The paid plans have a 10-day free trial, “No credit card required.” Source on www.featurebase.app/pricing
- Their help centre describes a CSV export of requests, with title, description, status and ETA among the columns. Source on help.featurebase.app/en/articles/8012244-exporting-requests
Per seat against flat
Their seat price buys a whole support and feedback suite, so read this as the shape of the bill rather than a like-for-like price: theirs grows with every teammate, ours does not.
| What is being compared | Featurebase | Roadmark |
|---|---|---|
| What the price counts | Seats — teammates with full access | Nothing: one flat price per workspace |
| Free plan | 1 seat, 1 roadmap | 1 roadmap, public links for anyone |
| Entry paid plan | $29 per seat / month billed yearly (Growth) | $15 / month (Pro) — 4 members, owner included |
| Team plan | $59 per seat / month billed yearly (Professional) | $49 / month (Team) — unlimited members |
| Jira, Linear and GitHub | Listed from Growth up | Every plan, Free included — import and daily sync |
| Removing the vendor badge | $69 / month add-on, Professional and up | Included from Pro |
For 5 teammates on their Growth plan that is $145 a month billed yearly; our Team plan is $49 a month however many people you add. If you also use their helpdesk, that comparison flatters us — you would be replacing one part of what the seat pays for.
Prices exclude VAT and sales tax. Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, adds it at checkout where your country requires it. Their figures are the yearly-billing rates shown by default on their pricing page on www.featurebase.app/pricing, read on 5 October 2026. Prices move — check both before you decide.
What Roadmark is for
One job done in depth, rather than one module of several.
The old plan stays on the canvas
When the plan changes you fork it instead of editing over it. The timeline you committed to and the one you switched to stay side by side, so the roadmap carries its own history.
Every change carries the reason
A fork cannot be created without a written decision. The public Decision Feed turns that record into a page customers and investors can read: what moved, when, and why.
Synced on every plan, flat on every plan
Import from Linear, Jira, GitHub and the rest and keep the board in sync — on Free too. Paid plans are one price for the workspace, and read-only viewers never take a seat.
When they are the better choice
Where we would not switch, and would rather say so here than after you have moved a roadmap across.
- You want support, feedback, a help centre and a changelog from one vendor on one bill. Roadmark does none of those — it is the roadmap only.
- You want customers to submit ideas and vote on them. Roadmark deliberately has no voting board; visitors can react to milestones you planned, not add their own.
- You run your roadmap as columns of requests by status rather than a timeline with dates. Roadmark is built around dates and the reasons they move.
Moving from Featurebase
What the move actually involves, step by step.
Decide what is moving
If you use Featurebase for support or feedback, nothing here asks you to move that. Roadmark replaces the published roadmap; the requests can stay where they are.
Connect the tracker the work lives in
Import from 10 issue trackers and planning tools — Linear, Jira and GitHub among them — and keep the board in sync: it pulls the latest once a day on its own. The import only reads; nothing in your tracker changes.
Or bring a spreadsheet
Anything you can save as a CSV file can become a board: upload it, choose which columns hold the title, date, status and description, and check the preview before you import. Rows without a date come across undated rather than being dropped.
Send the read-only link
Turn on the public link in Share. Anyone with it can read the roadmap and its Decision Feed without an account, and none of them takes a seat. It can be embedded on your own site too.
Featurebase and Roadmark, answered
- Can I import my Featurebase roadmap?
- There is no Featurebase importer in Roadmark. Their help centre describes a CSV export of requests (linked above), and Roadmark imports CSV with a column mapping and a preview. Importing from the tracker the work lives in is usually better, because that board then stays in sync.
- Does Roadmark have a changelog or a feedback board?
- No to both. What it has is the roadmap’s own history — every fork, with the reason it was made — and a public Decision Feed built from it. Visitors can react to a planned milestone and ask to be emailed when it ships.
- Is Roadmark free?
- Yes. The Free plan keeps 1 roadmap, imports from any supported tool and shares public read-only links with as many people as you like. A new account also gets 7 days of Pro, no card asked; when that ends you stay on Free with everything kept.
See one before you decide
Our own roadmap is public, pivots and all — the abandoned branches are still on it, which is the whole point. Read it first; the sign-up can wait.
